Washington Design Center Sample Sale
When is it? Open to the public Saturday, February 13th from 10am to 3pm
Where is it? 300 D Street SW (Federal Center Metro Stop)
Why go? Because the Design Center is usually open only to the trade. And even if you don't buy anything, there is some fantastic window shopping to be had!

Alexandria Boutique District Warehouse Sale
When is it? Saturday, February 13th, 9am to 3pm (I hear it gets crowded, so best to show up early)
Where is it? At the George Washington Masonic Memorial in Old Town Alexandria
Why go? A great variety of participating stores- Apple Seed, Diva, Gossypia, Hysteria, La Cuisine, Lawrence Miller & Co, Mint Condition, Periwinkle, Pink & Brown, Red Barn Mercantile, Stanton Gallery, The Christmas Attic...and my two favorites, the Shoe Hive and Treat!
