Seeking NYC Tips and Shopping Recommendations

*Update*- apparently the weather has other plans for me this weekend and all the trains to NY are cancelled because of the snow, but please keep sending your tips since I am going to reschedule for later in Feb!

Heading up to New York City this weekend, and in between visiting some friends I'm looking to expand my repitoire of must-do stores and get a little off the beaten path. I figure I can go to Saks in any city...though I do usually end up getting sucked in for a few hours there! If anyone out there has any must-see store recommendations I'd love to hear them- you know we're adventurous shoppers here at MoS. I'm particularly interested in:

-Flea market recommendations- Hell's Kitchen? Or go somewhere else?

-Fabric/trim/notion store recommendations- I've hit the usual suspects such as MJ Trim but am looking for anything else that you think is particularly fabulous.

-Any great furniture resale shops

-Any must-see vintage clothing stores

-Any unique independent boutiques- clothing, home accessories, jewelry, etc.- I'm open

-Century 21- been there? Worth it? Or waste of time? I hear mixed reviews.

Our readers are always a wealth of info (and I know there are a lot of you in New York!) so I'd appreciate your feedback!
