The latest House Beautiful contains some fabulous decorating advice and photos of some beautiful homes.
However, we cannot get on board with the chairs shown below.
The designer felt as though the hand-tied tufting was so beautiful that he decided to leave the backs of the chairs completely exposed. You can't see the detail so well from my scanned photo, but the frame is exposed, and the tufting strings are just dangling off the backs of these chairs. To us, this just kills an otherwise beautiful room! We feel like we are back in middle school sitting in that awkward co-ed anatomy class...
