Hello friends, happy Friday to you! Wow this week has flown by and we're off to Hermanus for the weekend to celebrate my Dad's birthday. Looking forward to it! What have you got planned?
Do you see this absolutely exquisite ring below? Well, I wish I could say it was mine... but no... I hardly think I could afford it! I did get to see it in real life though at a small exhibition held at The Haas Collective last week. This bespoke ring made by Kirsten Goss is called "Refuge" and is being auctioned by Christies in London on the 12th of June, to raise funds on behalf of the Wildlands Conservation Trust, raising critical awareness and funding for rhino conservation.
It's a truly beautiful ring made in 18-carat gold and embellished with black, cognac and white diamonds and has a tiny rhino seeking refuge under the tiers resembling the African bush. You can see a great little short video by Kirsten here on the making of this magical ring and to find out more about it. Kirsten's jewellery is just gorgeous, one day... I'll own a piece!
