Let's see... countryside, cute bunting, vintage touches, lace, wild flowers in rusty buckets...this sounds just about perfect to me. Add one gorgeous bride and groom, close friends and family, a beautiful setting, some bubbly and you have one fabulous wedding!
Isn't Olivia's dress absolutely beautiful? Designed by Jenny Packham, it's no wonder! And I loved her simple bouquet of poppies and wild flowers.
Olivia and Richard got married last weekend out near Swellendam and despite their plans for a sunny outdoor wedding, this was obviously not meant to be. Some people say rain is a universal metaphor for the origin and renewal of life, well what better way to start your married life together then? Their ceremony was held outdoors under a huge tree with views out onto fields, grazing horses and mountains. A perfect setting. And literally as soon as the ceremony ended the drizzle began.
So the picnic was moved indoors and after lunch and more bubbly and a few speeches, we were greeted by the arrival of an ice cream van. Eating ice creams under the canopy of beach umbrellas protecting us from the rain instead of the sun was definitely a memorable experience! The afternoon stretched into the evening and after much dancing, drinking and fun... all that's left to say is, "I wish you much love and happiness and the best life together, Mr and Mrs A!"♡
