If you have a Pottery Barn outlet close by, definitely check it out! My closest one is an hour away, which is a bit of a pain. But totally worth it. They have tons of items from Pottery Barn, West Elm, and even a few from Williams-Sonoma Home!
I went today to find a rug for my living room. I previously had SISAL there, but SISAL and dogs just don't mix. I had tried every hint and tip from Martha Stewart for cleaning it, and nothing worked. So I headed down to the Pottery Barn outlet, hoping I could find something good.
And I did! An 8x10 Williams-Sonoma Home wool rug in a fab Greek key pattern with the original $2160 tags on it. The outlet price was marked $795 and then lowered to $695. I told the guy that this was more than I wanted to spend, so he said, "How about $488?" I told him that was still more, so I needed to keep looking. He said, "How about $224.99?" SOLD. I have no clue if they typically will negotiate with customers or if today was just my lucky day. But somehow I scored the rug below for about 90% off retail! I can't get it out of my car until my husband gets home, but I will take some pictures of it in the room later on.
My other find was a set of Pottery Barn pillow shams in this fun red ikat fabric. Originally marked $29.99, down to $.47!! Sounds too good to be true, I know! Not sure where I will use them, but they are cute and fun and were less than two quarters!
Have you had good luck at a Pottery Barn Outlet before? Tell us what you have found!
PLEASE NOTE THAT I EDITED TO CLARIFY THAT MY BAD RUG EXPERIENCE WAS WITH A SISAL RUG, NOT A SEAGRASS RUG. I HAVE A SEAGRASS RUG THAT HAS HELD UP JUST FINE WITH THE DOG. SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION!!
