Freeworld Design Centre exhibition

Yesterday I spoke about the Freeworld Design Centre and today I thought I'd take you on a virtual tour of their current exhibition. It runs until the end of July so there's still plenty of time to see it if you're in Cape Town. Four designers were given the brief ‘Openness to Explore’ and were encouraged to use brand new paint and coating products.

My favourite display is by Tracy Lynch, fun, colourful and quirky... just up my street! Tracy used Earthcote’s innovative new glass paint which is made from recycled glass beads. It adds a lovely texture and together with the hand stenciling, the effect is amazing!

Kerstin Eser created a dynamic window display using "upcycled" garments made from paint-splattered overalls created by Christopher Strong.

Neil Stemmet of Koncept created a beautiful living room with a wonderful variety of unusual and old world pieces. I love the colours and feel of this space.

And lastly Liam Mooney created a striking black on black display showcasing some of his new products.
