Here's my card

So who better to give us Cape Town tips and suggestions than Kerry and Clare from Here's my card, a travel company specialising in tailor-made travel experiences to Southern Africa. These two sisters grew up in Cape Town and after having done loads of travelling, finally settled in the UK from where they now run their company.

Here's my card will help you come up with the perfect trip whether it's scenery, adventure or luxury you're after or a little bit of everything! I've asked Kerry and Clare a few questions and to share some of their CT favourites, be sure to make notes for your next trip to SA!

Here's my card

What is your most memorable holiday experience you've had in SA?
We have both loved: a horse-back safari in the Waterberg & our close encounter with a rhino there, magical bush dinners & the odd sleep out under the stars, as well as canoeing down the Orange River.

Your favourite place to visit in SA?
Kerry: It has to be The Mother City. Never mind the sublime beauty of the Cape itself, the city offers a host of amazing things to see & do so you never really get bored.

Clare: The quiet & peaceful nature of the Eastern Cape bush where you are so far removed from hectic city life & the sense of space is endless.

Top travel tip/secret for a visitor to SA?
Here’s My Card clients receive a ‘Travel Tips’ document & we would say that one of the most useful pieces of advice is for our clients is to alert them to Cape Town’s fast changing climate & it’s best to take a pair of sunglasses, umbrella & a wind shield at all times! We often recommend that they experience climbing up Lions Head which is less touristy & offers equally breathtaking views of the city, beach & Table Mountain itself. As one client commented, the sense of achievement was much greater than taking the cable car like everyone else.

Cape Town Breakfast favourites

Favourite place to have breakfast in Cape Town?
Kerry: Either Superette in Woodstock for the sublime poached eggs or brunch at The Round House with those incomparable views of Camps Bay & the most delicious croissants in town.

Clare: The Neighbourgoods Market at The Biscuit Mill for the best bacon sandwich I have ever had!

Cape Town Sundowner Spots

Favourite place to have sundowners in Cape Town?
Kerry: I like to mix it up a little; for something sexy & distinctly Mediterranean I go to The Grand (Granger Bay) & if I want some chic city vibe then you can’t beat the roof terraces at both Cafe Royale & The Grand Daddy Hotel.

Clare: On a lovely summer’s evening I like to go with a group of friends, pack a picnic & some vino and head to a cool summer concert at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

Llandudno beach

And lastly, your favourite beach in Cape Town?
We both love Llandudno Beach because it holds so many childhood memories of when we lived there.

Thank you so much Kerry and Clare, it's been great having you here today, you've both got me in the mood for Summer days, lazy lunches and the good life! And I'm definitely dreaming of a luxurious safari too.
