It's here again!
Hello friends, hello weekend! Are you are feeling as excited as I am? I think it's the fact that I have a fun weekend ahead, a friend's birthday, a friend visiting from New York and a special Christmas shoot to plan and then the best thing... just four more days of work left till a fabulous three week holiday! Whoohoo! What are your plans for the holidays? Are you on leave yet? A lot of businesses here in SA closed on Wednesday already. A definite must for this time of year is a great party outfit since it's party season! I've picked some fabulous statement heels for you...

And my latest favourite designer is Jason Wu, these are some of his pieces from his Pre-Fall collection. Aren't they gorgeous? I could definitely do with adding a few of these to my wardrobe! So so pretty!

Winter warmer
I absolutely love this first photo, the outfit is so adorable! It inspired me to put together a bit of a Winter story today especially for all my friends in the Northern hemisphere! So while you're keeping warm this weekend, we might be hitting the beach, it's a bit of a heat wave this week in Cape Town! Wherever you are though, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Glam it up
The weekend is almost here and I can almost hear a sigh of relief from all around, I know how busy everyone is at the moment! So I'm wishing you all a lovely, relaxing, indulgent weekend... I could quite happily cocoon myself in a gorgeous, glamorous space something like below and just take some time out! Don't you agree? Oh and if I could have this incredible dress as well while we're at it, I'd be very happy! Have a good one, friends!

Paris daydreaming
Wow what a week, I'm so happy it's Friday! What about you, are you also needing some time out and a break? I think at this time of the year when there's so much going on, one really appreciates the weekends. What about a little virtual escape to Paris then just for fun and a bit of escapism? Adore the first photo, I would love to wake up and step out onto a little balcony like that with a view of Paris of course! One can always dream... have a happy weekend friends!

Nature's beauty
I thought today we needed some soft ethereal beauty inspired by nature. After a busy week these beautiful images are perfect for clearing out the chaos and making space for the weekend and some down time. Butterflies and dreams
I always eagerly await the start of each month to see Anthropologie's catalogue and what they've come up with. Each one is totally different from the last and I enjoy their playful touches. This shoot is particularly fun and whimsical, I love all the vintage inspired paper cut-outs! Part Alice in Wonderland, part dream and part fantasy, this is my cup of tea!

Pastel hints
I thought I'd start the day off with some soft, subtle pinks and pastels to calm my head before my crazy weekend begins. This morning I'm off to gift fair in Somerset West to stock up on Christmas presents, then back to town for a birthday lunch with my boyfriend (at The Grand, yay, can't wait!), then it's birthday drinks for him with friends. Saturday morning we'll be setting off at the crack of dawn for a friend's wedding out in the countryside where we'll be spending the night too and then on the way home on Sunday we'll be visiting my parent's for lunch because it's my Mom's birthday! I'm actually feeling exhausted as I write this, now you see the need for the calm hues! Wishing you all a fabulous weekend!

Wash day fun
Just some lighthearted fashion for you today, this editorial was shot by the fabulous Steven Meisel and actually appeared in Vogue US in 2005! I still love it though, so playful and quirky, mmm doing house cleaning might not be so bad if I had this wardrobe to go with it! Have a happy day friends!

Positive Heroes
On a positive, inspiring note to start the weekend, I want to share about Positive Heroes today. Positive Heroes is an amazing non-profit organisation that aims to educate and make people aware of HIV, their vision is to reduce the fear, misinformation, stigma and discrimination that still surround HIV. Positive Heroes consists of a group of positive and inspiring role models living with HIV that have made a success of their lives against all obstacles and they constantly strive to inspire other HIV sufferers and their families. You can read some of their stories here, they truly are incredible.
So to raise funds they are holding their annual Positive Heroes fashion show next Thursday at the recently refurbished Cape Town train station. A unique venue, gorgeous fashion by top designers and couturiers, a great entertainment line-up followed by a live auction of pieces donated by the designers, I can't wait! Capetonians you can still buy tickets for the show from Computicket here, tickets cost R150 and all proceeds go to this fantastic cause, will you join me?!

Sparkle and glitz
What a week it's a been, it's been one of those weeks when blogging has been a major struggle! I'm sure you've experienced that before, when you're just not inspired to do anything and you can't find what you're looking for and it just doesn't come together easily. So I think I need to take time out this weekend and have a bit of an escape from technology. So this weekend's posts will be light and hopefully I'll be back on Monday feeling inspired.
