Bright, happy interiors

I'm sure you know by now that I love a little bit of bright colour, it adds a sense of fun, vibrancy and warmth to wherever it's needed. All of the interiors below have striking bold colours and some sort of paint effects in them, all photographed by the talented Magnus Anesund. I'd love to assist him for a day and get sneak peaks into these gorgeous interiors! 

Absolutely love this first bedroom, the colours are stunning and contrast beautifully against the pale wooden walls. The rainbow coloured kitchen cupboards in the second photo are such fun, I don't think I'd want something like this in my kitchen but it would be great in a studio or kid's room. What do you think? Loving all this colour or not?!

A life of colour

After an amazing weekend I'm feeling ready for the week ahead. Yesterday my sister and I packed in all sorts of fun including a picnic in a lovely field in Noordhoek and finishing off with sundowners at  The Twelve Apostles hotel, wow, what a treat! Well, it's another gorgeous day here and it feels like the week is off to a very good start, thought I'd share some bright and colourful splashes of inspiration in case you're on the other side of the world and your day is not looking as bright! Bold, stylish & colourful mix

Happy Friday friends! I'm back from my trip and feel totally recharged which is a good thing considering I now have to tackle my inbox! I thought I wouldn't bore you with more holiday snaps (last batch tomorrow!) and would rather feature this fantastic, colourful home that I spotted over on ELLE Decor España. To start with, I absolutely love the oversized photo of the cathedral and then of course all the fun, eclectic cushions and designer pieces. This home has a wonderful, bold character which is so inviting. I could quite happily live in this space! Have a great weekend!

Green and white palette

How about a fresh green and white palette to lift your home and get that spring feeling? It has a lovely rejuvenating feeling but can be peaceful at the same time. What do you think? Would this work in your home? I think it could be a great colour scheme for a guest bedroom or a home studio and it's so easy to achieve.

Rouge inspiration

Happy Friday lovelies! It's pouring with rain here, just a reminder that winter is still here. I have the luxury of being home and sitting next to a heater which is a welcome relief on a day like today. No running around in the rain for me! A hint of pink

Morning friends, how are you all today? I'm glad yesterday's post spread a bit of positive energy. A colour that subtly does the same for me is pink. A hint of pink can do wonders. It adds a bit of warmth and softens up a look, adding just a touch of femininity. I'm a big fan of pink, I won't deny it! What do you think? Do you like a soft, subtle shade or a more modern, hot pink? Or no pink at all?!

Wild poppy accents

Today's post is just a collection of images all with bright poppy coloured accents which work so well with white, cream and navy. I really love this bold orange for interiors and fashion, it adds an instant wow factor and definite boldness. Team it with a geometric pattern or stripe for a fun contemporary feel.

Pink power

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a good weekend? Are you ready for the week ahead and the arrival of June? I'm not sure I am, I have a bit of a stressful week ahead, so wish me luck!

On a brighter note, literally, what do you think about pink in fashion? I love this colour but tend to always wear it in smaller doses or accessorise with it. I love how all these girls wear it in such a bold way. And it seems there is a trend to combine pink with either camel or green. Such a fun look, perfect to cheer up a winter's day. What do think, are you brave enough to step out in a hot pink outfit?!

Happy Friday!

I think I probably say this every Friday but I am so happy the weekend is here! It's been a busy week what with my birthday, a hen party and a big family dinner! Phew. This weekend is going to be just as busy, it's my youngest sister's birthday tomorrow and we have a wedding to go to! So tonight is going to be a super early one to prepare myself! What are your plans?

Leslie of a Creative Mint and Ez of Creature comforts of two of my favourite bloggers. They are both incredibly creative and exceptionally good at styling, layout and photography! They both seemed to have used a delicious coral and aqua palette recently and their photos just worked so perfectly together, I had to share! It's such a great colour combination, I was even inspired to come up with an outfit to match. I'm wishing that beautiful flower arrangement was sitting on my desk here at work along with a plate of those cupcakes! Don't you agree?! Happy Friday friends!

Lucky in red

Firstly, a big 'Thank You' to all of you for my birthday wishes yesterday. I really appreciate all the comments and emails I received, you guys make all this blogging worthwhile!♥ 

Today I thought I'd share a little red inspiration for you. I love using splashes of red in interiors and of course a red dress can be so striking and glamorous! Doesn't Reese look gorgeous in the pics below? Funnily enough, I'm not mad about wearing red myself. What about you, are you a fan of red?

Bright and cheerful

Hello lovelies! I've had a busy morning rushing around and now I'm off to Hermanus for the weekend to visit my parents! Looking forward to a mini break, what are your plans for the weekend?
